Merry Christmas!

Whew! This year flew by fast! While some may be more vocal then others about what transpired so far (and especially in the last few months) I'm just looking forward to 2017.

Of course, Christmas itself is right around the corner. And unlike last year, the whole family is gathering together thanks to everyone's schedules lightening up and my own mothers health vastly improving! Me and my brother will be leaving the city for several days and thankfully we are getting a drive through all that shnazzy white stuff, which unlike 2014 and 2015, is sticking around this time! I for one am grateful, the train-fare out of the city is roughly 50+ CAD around any holiday.

So from the 23rd to the 27th, I'll be away from the internet. Maybe when I was a kid I would have felt like this would have been a death sentence, but now, I sorta feel relieved to be away from that congested information highway (was my third-grade teacher the only one who called it that?). Kinda feels nice to disconnect every once in awhile.

I do have my phone, so I might check in if our wifi doesn't shit the bed. Guess you can't disconnect these days even if you try

Anyway, I hope everyone here has a very Merry Christmas! Give and receive, feel grateful for the things you have, drink all the eggnog, mix all the whiskey, watch out for Santa and maybe kick back with some Fruit Cake and watch "The Long Kiss Goodnight" (also known as the best Christmas action movie ever made).
