Canada just turned 150 today!
So today was a bit of a rambunctious!
It periodically rained and thunder stormed but between that and a spout of humid temperatures, it was a great day of kicking back with plenty of friends, knocking back a bottle of Whiskey, roasting Shmores in a bonfire and arguing about which was the worst Alien Movie (spoiler warning, it was the one written by Joss Whedon) mostly due to the large quantities of alcohol all of us consumed.
None of us bothered treading downtown to brace the crowds and tourists but fro what I could gather from those who passed through, it was surrounded by armed security and Sniper Nest (thanks, ISIS).
Regardless, today was a GREAT day! Nice to get out of the apartment and get some nice cool air!
In other news, I'm going to try and (GASP) sketch sometime this summer! My work is going through a busy period but hey, I should have a day or two to test my sketching skills. I have to see if I still have the artistic touch after all!

This is 30?
I have become the old man! According to the modern internet standards, anyway. Once upon a time that used to be the standard! Had a quiet day as it was hot as balls out but alas I find myself enjoying the little things these days. Many of you noticed I actually posted something this year, something I'm actually quite proud of! And come to think of it, I've gotten bitten by the creativity bug so I think I might just kick myself into writing again! Who knows!? Through hell, highwater and horrible website overhauls, I'll be on DA until this whole place 404's for good! Here's to another 10 years when the real freakout begins! ;)
Canada Day, Rum, Nearing 30, Oh My!
Welp, that's a mouthful! As this journal indicated, I'm still around! Might as well celebrate! Whipped up some Prime Rib Burger's with all the toppings, fried up some waffle fries and poured myself 4 ounces of Apple Rum! I call this a good Canada Day! Just turned 29 in May as well. Damn! Nearly 30! Feels like a new chapter is right on the horizon, got me thinking of how fast time flies, but only in hindsight! In reality I understand a decade is a long time, hell, a lifetime for some. But I feel like I'm on the very edge of the next milestone with a better headspace then most of my fellow Millennial's. I'll probably have this same recollection of the last decade when I turn 40 and eventually 50 and if I'm lucky, 60! I'm no longer going to be a young adult, but a proper adult! Well, at least in theory! ;) Hope you all have a good day! c:
Merry Christmas!
Feels a bit dreary this time, especially considering it's absolutely pissing rain outside right now. I'm certain everyone is feeling a bit isolated as well for our families sake, and the weight of the year has been a bit fickle on top of that. Hell, I'm not even sure a lot of folks are still kicking around this website since the remodeling but what the hell, I ain't ever gonna leave this damn site! ;) Gonna keep it short and sweet, the next year can't get any worse so let's all grab a pint of our favorite beer and give a toast to a better future! The Next Christmas is certainly gonna be one to toast with our closest vaccinated family! C: Merry Christmas everyone!
28 years and counting!
So, here we are! 28 years! Feels just like yesterday I was 14, and now, I'm inching closer and closer to the big 30!
All things considered, it could be under better circumstances. This day is certainly quieter then most what with my city still under lockdown and me being out of work since April 9th. But you what? It could be worse, I guess it pays off being somewhat introverted. I still have some party-hound friends going nutso from being confined to their homes for over a month so I reckon I'm doing fine sipping on whiskey and playing videogames, haha!
That being said, I do hope to return to work soon. I've been working at IKEA since 2013
